Behind Seats? or Center Console?

Put the subs behind the seat in a 2.2 cube box BUT limited to an absolute MAX mounting depth of 5.5" or rip out the center seat in my 40/20/40 split bench and build a box there probably around the same size 2-3 cubes BUT with a mounting depth of more like 10" or so.

where I put the box will completely determine what subs I can run, I am pretty limited with the behind the seat box.

well I guess I know what I am doing this weekend... Pulling my front seat out and taking some measurements and seeing what I am really working with. Should be fun lol //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif and maybe I can start on my amp rack, or moving it to the back wall of the cab if the subs aren't going to be there

Took a little time to fiddle with some rough dimensions and came up with some ideas like this.

The first box is 1.82 ft^3 showing each driver 0.61 ft^3 subs intended as a minimum for using 3 IDQ10's with 5.75" mounting depth. Second Box is probably too big for the application but would be 2.33 ft^3 giving 0.78 ft^3 per sub just generic subs to see how much mounting depth I could get.

I am attempting to design the box so that if the need were to arise I could put a pad on it or whatever and someone could still use it as a seat and maintain my 6 passenger ability, but I'm thinking I will more than likely use up all the room I have up to the dash to get the subs in there.

Next I guess will be choosing subs, currently thinking IDQ, FI Q, SSA Icon or maybe waiting and see about some new mags but not really sure I think the box and ultimately price will dictate choice. Power will be coming from a Sundown Saz-1500D

do both. build a console in the middle seat area with a glassed port at the bottom. then you can pad it and still use it as a third seat, or a really expensive please toy for the lady
