beginner ipod integration help

I'm trying to directly wire my ipod to my factory stereo in an 03 jeep grand cherokee. I'm planning on using a USA SPEC auxiliary interface (http://www.crutchfield.com/S-0IvfYObGnly/cgi-bin/ProdView.asp?g=50900&tab=essential_info&i=581DFCHR) and connecting the ipod with this cable: http://www.provantage.com/cables-go-35507~4CBTY00F.htm

A few things: 1. Will this setup work right with my stereo? I'm new to this so I don;t want to do any complicated wiriing.

2. Will I be able to control the volume, skip tracks, etc. through the car stereo or will I still have to use the ipod.

3. Is there a better way to do this for a relatively cheap price? I've looked into peripheral adapters but they don't seem much better than this setup...

Any help is appreciated!

you're answer to questions 1. & 2. why dont you ask the people that you are buying the unit for or posibbly research a little more on it

you're answer to question 3. i belive so... i think those usa spec deals are like around 160.00- 190.00...

you can get a brand new headunit with i-pod cable for about that same amount... and you will have better sound. ect.....
