Beer pong table.. CDX or MDF ..??

now this guy knows what im getting at... ****.. can u imagine the weight of a double thick 2'x4' 1.5" mdf table with a rim and joist 2x4 frame??? lol seems like overkill for a table of beer!! oh well i guess when ppl bump into it it will hurt them more and ill lose no beer //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
would be a very nice table...i say go for it man. But 3/4'' is fine

well i dont have anything to use the other mdf for.... and i dont wanna just put it in the garage and never use it again.. anyone want a 2x4x8 sheet of 3/4 mdf ? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

lawl. I would definitely seal the shit out of it though, MDF doesn't get along well with water
i just figured 3 coats of primer, 2-3 coats of paint ( + accent paint ) and about 3-4 coats of poly ( i want it to shine //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif ) would keep ANY water out //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
Um Mdf+water=shitty Table

its beer pong not water pong

what happend to just putting a 4x8 sheet of ply wood on top of 2 trashcans? LOL
man i thought the same thing... a house i went to last year had a full 4x8 5/8 or 3/4 inch sheet of cdx held up by 2 saw horses... worked good for me //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif . BUt now the players are much more skilled haha.. gotta be 2x8.... i mean who really needs an extra foot and a half on each side of the end cups??? are they really that bad? or just that drunk ?? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

its beer pong not water pong
sorry man.. leys just call it liquid pong.. is that better ?? considering i dont have a automatic ball rinse there still are 2 cups of WATER... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif on the table... and what if we wanna play water pong for the holidays when the family comes to visit //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

use MDO wood its the water proof version of MDF
ive used it when i was building ... not that great really its the overlay to an mdf , but it still soaks water.. or beer //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

and im sure the ball would bounce about a foot higher than any normal wood

whos the girl in avi?

whats the price difference between MDF vs HDF (normal pingpong tables)
and more importantly, would the HDF resist water better
hdf is harder... and no mdf and hdf **** when wet.. which is why ppl use cdx ... more weather resistant..

but with multiple coats of poly and a good primer base nothing really gets through wood
