Beer pong table.. CDX or MDF ..??

Just curious what works better .. a 1.5" or even 1.25" mdf table seems a lil heavy duty but i think it might be worth it.. more concerned about what looks better after primer paint and poly.. Anyone have an idea?

but like i said im looking for whats gonna look the best.. and sorry i didnt put it in the first post but im also looking at the surface... osb and cdx are rough and will need sanding nomatter what osb can bend as well as cdx.. on the other hand mdf really wont bend or move ( over time ) and is smooth...

yeah but mdf, wood, metal all make for different bounce shots, they do bounce differently.

i and most of us around here prefer metal.

it makes double bouncing and shit easier

mdf will sag over time unless you build a good frame to put it on.....i say MDF with a sweet paint job

quit being cheap and get a sheet of oak or something that actually looks like wood.

mdf will swell terribly and become structualy un sound after it getts wett.

I say, go to lowes and get a piece of that nice birch skin plywood ( $50 a sheet )

and put some nice varnish on it. should do the job of sealing it up, and looking sweet.

now this guy knows what im getting at... ****.. can u imagine the weight of a double thick 2'x4' 1.5" mdf table with a rim and joist 2x4 frame??? lol seems like overkill for a table of beer!! oh well i guess when ppl bump into it it will hurt them more and ill lose no beer //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
