I am looking for a good 12 or pair of 10s. I listen to a lot of heavy rock, and love double bass pedals. So I am looking for a sub or subs with a fast responce that doesnt sound sloppy. Looking for something to handle around 500 watts. I was thinking about running my XMAX 12, but Im not sure if it will be what im looking for.

The box will have alot to do with the type of response your looking for. I listen to the same stuff as you and have always had sealed enclosures. That should be a start. The subs are way more of a personal thing. Go and listen to some.

Thanks. I think I'll end up using my XMAX, and put it in a .75-1.00 cu. sealed box. I was just looking for some input.
