Bazooka powered bass tubes... any experience?

Particularly the 8 and 10 inch ones(ones with 100, 200 and 250 watt amp)... are they decent for someone who just want to add a bit of low end quickly? How do they compare to Infinity's Basslink? Will be buying these used and both seems to be under $100.

I had a 10" self powered Bazooka tube in my 2000 Honda Accord Coupe back in 2002. I only used it for a week or two because I found it too muddy for my tastes.

I have a powered 6" that I got out of a used car when I worked at a dealership. It's meh... We hooked it up in my friend's '86 Camaro and it was ok but it was barely noticable in the trunk of the Civic I was driving at the time. It's just keeping the dust off of the shelf in my garage now.

Yeah I never expect a 6" to really do anything to be called a subwoofer, I just need something for the winter so my expensive stuff can stay in the warm house.

If you've got a hatch/suv the 10" don't do too bad of a job. They're tuned a bit high, and have port noise so aiming them in a corner of your ride is optimum.

I have a large sedan and I plan on installing it under my dash(I have bench seats and no center console), so it'll be within the cabin. I could make the port a wee bit smaller to drop the tuning frequency if it's that high.

I have no power saw nor a shop and it's cold up in WI now, so buying one used is more economical. Was gonna make a fiberglass box but the outside temp is no good.
