I plan on getting a second battery for my system. I was wondering peoples opinions on the batcap 2000 vs. Powermaster D3100? What would be best for my application? I am running the kx2500.1 and kx350.4. I have a yellowtop under the hood and a 200amp alt from ohio generators.

I have a powermaster d3100, with a yellowtop under the hood, with (2) Sundown1500's strapped my voltage never goes below 12.8 volts, usually stays around 13and higher //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

i have a batcap 2000 and stock battery with 2 sundown 1500ds strapped and my voltage has never gone below 12.8 as well and i dont have a yellow top...

That was with the song money man as well, -3db 36hz tone....

well here ill say this,

batcap is more for spl/ higher alt installs...

They charge and discharge so fast that they own with high alts.

But im sure they dont do well with low alternators..

D3100 is more of a daily, high charge and pretty good discharge, so if you have a low alt id go this route...

Daily=d3100

SPL=2000

I'm going to go with the batcap 2000 going to try to fit it in somewhere in my 1998 chevy blazer. Might be able to take the cut off wheel and cut out my jack and the bracket that holds it in.
