I just built a pure SPL enclosure for the Bassworx Demo Car...

for the new Bassworx Series 4 SPL 12" woofers

his last set up was lacking....it hit only 147db

this one is WAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY louder..like I mean

much louder...they sound like 15's

1.0cf3 per sub plus port and sub dissplacement

common chamber tunned at 56hz with 101.75 sq inches of

port area

I'll take more pics after the cosmetics are done and the interior is

put back in...hopefully I will have a new DB score to go with the pics

crap is this set up LOUD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/cool.gif.3bcaf8f141236c00f8044d07150e34f7.gif

he has 3000w rms running these suckers

ive seen this car before. in castlegar earlier last month

is he going to cranbrook this weekend? i wanna hear it

nice box btw ...its kinda smaller version of mine. with better craftmanship of course

Nice looking box...nice router work on the face as well...but **** that paint job is ugly as ****...green on brown? why not throw some pink stripes on to make it look like rolling vomit?

LOL....

the car is a burnt orange color.....not my ride

I just built the box......

anyways the 147db was on an Audiocontrol mic on the dash

wich is about a 138 or a 139 on a Termlab....

this new box got a 144db with the Termlab...

he did a sweep from 60hz down to 40hz....

according to my Termpro program the box peaks at just over 67hz

so he was using the wrong frequencies....

he also has the new bassworx 3000w rms amp..it is not set up

correctly yet

I built this box according to Bassworx recommended volume

1.0cf3 per sub plus sub and port dissplacement and their

recommended tunning frequency of 56hz...

I'm gonna play with it before the next comp and see if we can get

the numbers up a bit..those recommended box specks seem a bit

off to me..I 'm almost thinking about 1.3 to 1.5cf3 per sub

worst case senario I'll use another 35 bucks of MDF and make a box

with a little more internal volume

I have never dealt with Bassworx subs before...so it is a learning experience

Use aeroports so that you can change tuning.

Play with rounding the corners (take 1/4 of some kind of tube and duct tape it in the box and monitor spl changes).

Play with combinations to get your highest score.

anyways he won 1st place in Superstreet 1,2 no wall

with the 60hz to 40hz sweep...

I did some playing with Termpro and it showed a nice peak

at 64hz so we did a sweep from 70hz to 60hz...

the output was definatly higher...all he needed was a higher

frequency...no matter he took home the 1st place trophy....

there is another comp coming up in August and we will

have some mic time before then...get some new numbers

from the higher frequencies
