Need a lil light here... Im design box using bassbox pro for a single Kicker L7 10

Curious on what I do about the port since it makes it one long port that is always longer then the box.

I understand that I can make it L shaped inside the box. Box how do I actually go about calculating is length if I what it to be as wide as the box is internally.

And if I know the area I have to work with... is there something I can do to make sure it doesnt go larger then my spec which are..

W = 33

H = 18

L = 25.. this one can actually go bigger.. its from the back of the seat to the trunk

I'm trying to go for as load as possible but still with really deep bass

OK,.. I think I got it figured out

Anyone mind looking over my design and see what ya think

Be as harsh as you want,.. Im learning..lol

Also,.. the box is like 5.5 cubes tuned at 32Hz

in design I just used up all available space

is this over kill for one L7 10"

and do I get much benefit from making it a little smaller

first off man i do bbp design's all the time but what i want to know is what is this going in an 5.5 for an L7 is uuber overkill for a 10 man. don't know how i will sound but those subs don't need but 1.5 to 2.5 cubes, i have seen guys competet in a 1 cube ported before lol it was for port wars but it still fitted lol. but yea man those subs love small boxes 2.5 or 3 maxx would be good.

for as bassbox goes i usually play around with mine till i get it where i want to tune it too for my box. i usually make my port the length of the box across the bottom an play with the depth to change the tuning an such.

its going in a trunk of a friends honda. ya.. I need to go smaller.. he was just like.. well i got this much room,. use it..lol

I didn't even look aat how many cubes it made till today

i forgot that the bbp is really a box design for home audio which is why your box for one 10 was so large. if you use aero ports which is what i use when i design you get a good tuning. i use a 4inch by 12 in a 28x14x15 at 43 hz
