bassboost ???

im gettin 2ek15's and porting them since this is the first time ive ported i wanna if i can use either the hu's or the amps bassboost is it ok because my amp is a jbl and its only got a 6db boost my rockford had a 18db boost i always had it up all the way. .. please help!

personally speaking, i never use the bass boosts on my amps.... i prefer to use the one on my head unit (cda7892), due to the fact that the boost from the amps are centered at 1 frequency, it tends to sound like crap imo

do the box right i doubt you will need the boost lol (course im a tweak) if you really get the box down right and have good power id venture to say you'll use the boost sparringly unless you just want to see how far you can push it.
