bass problems

alright guys i just got 3 jl 10w3's put in with a jl 500/1 amp and a jl power wedge box and my problem is its works good and all but every time i change a station the bass hits pretty hard ....and every time i put in a disk the bass hits hard .....and when i turn on and off the car it does it to?

im just wondewring whats wrong with it iv never heard a system do that befor and it hits like its bout to clip um....is it normal?

i would check your wiring....could be a bad ground....bad head unit.....ect...

What you mean it hits hard, like a single thump or a constant buzzing.

Yeh my older system use to do that...im sure its not normal but it doesnt hurt nothin....maybe like the signal from the HU get boosted for like a sec and sends something to the amp while the cd is getting loaded....just a guess

its like 2 or 3 thumps when reading a cd and 1 thump every time a change stations.....

its an older model pioneer can with the truck i got when i got it

you need to do the big 3. your system isn't grounded good at all. either or your running with a very crap amp

well it should be a good amp its a jl 500/1 slash series amp.......im gonna check the ground tomarrow

hey yall i just tried regrounding it with the same wire just sanding the washer and body that its grounded too but it still does the same thing......

i got an old signal wire in it that the guy had left in the truck when he sold it to me.....u guys think that could be my issue?

im new with the car audio thing if yah guys can alredy tell ...lol
