Bass lowers when turning? wierd problem. help!

That really can be the only problem . Isd the power wire/rca's run near the steering shaft? Check your fuse for shits and gigs. Sometimes agu fuses can become cruddy over time.

Either that or something else is shirting your electrical system and that is affecting your hu's output.

power steering should not effect it whatsoever, that engine makes enough power to turn all that stuff fine. its in the wiring.are all your amps secure? do you have any wiring run near the steering shaft?
it makes enough to turn stuff not turn and run a system on a stock alternator...idk about his car but in mine even with my HO alt and im sitting still if i turn the wheel rpms go down 2-300....just sayign it could be a possibility

right there withya homie!. my system is just steadily getting less loud. when i first hooked it up it was perfect at all volumes. now i have to turn up the bass and gain to attemp to get the same output i had 2 weeks ago. makes no sense to me. this isnt the first time ive had dissapearing bass. never have found the problem. good luck finding yours. ive been dealing with it for years in all my setups. they start out awesome, then fade away suddenly to sloppy crap. time to upgrade.lol

Replace your RCA cables if you have a spare set laying around. They might be pinched somewhere along the line, or the actual connector could be fucked.

I had a similar problem with some RCA's that had been used in a ton of installs. I had to put pressure on them and hold them a certain angle at the amp. Replaced them and problem went away.

ill check the alternator as well. i mean i only have a jl 250/1 with a jl 13 hooked up WITH a duralast gold battery in the trunk, even with the stock alternator, lights still dim, which also pisses me off.

first i'm going to take the sub out and check the connections like was suggested, then im going to try new RCAs without rewiring through the carpet and trunk so i dont waste time taking panels off and whatnot.

thanks again for everyones input and suggestions
