bass fades???

Does that amp have thermal overload protection? Some amps will protect themselves when they're hot by adjusting the gain internally until the temperatures are safe again.

 
The autotek's have a heatsink design that is just fins on top.

If you have it mounted on its side it will not radiate the heat properly as if it were face up. You might want to try that if you havent.

You have a blown cap in the amp more than likely. Had the same thing happen to a soundstream amp.

Brahmas are nice. I have a 10" Mk1. Just a single 10 was enough for me.
