Bass(Does Size Matter)

aight i'm not a newbie i done learned a lot about systems in the past year.i know you can get the right bass with the right amount of power and correctly built enclosure.I own 2 15 Sx'sn b4 i sold my box(plannin on gettin 2more) them hoes got pretty loud.My question is what will get louder 12's,15's,or 18's,b/c ive heard some 12's get louder than some 18's,but heard some 18's kill some 12's n 15's,and any other combination you can think of.the reason behind this question is b/c i got an offer where i can get twice for what i paid for both my sx's,i was wondering how loud 2 18 Sx's or 2 18 XXX'swould compare to 2 15's or 4 15's Sx's

in general, if the woofers are of the same type, the bigger one will always get louder

i figured it was all in the install,but on the Sx series both the 15 n 18 as well as the 12 got 1000rms 2000w peak,so will the basically have the same output on bass or will the 15 have more than a 12,and 18 have more than both

that is correct, assuming they are installed and powered properly. plus the bigger ones will have more low-end output

Well the 18 will displace more air then the 15 which will dsiplace more then the 12 so even with the same power on the same sub (just different size) in the same car with ideal enclosures for each size...........The bigger one will get louder...
