hey im new to this board. n i was just wondering if there is anyone else in iowa. and if there are any other bass competitions other than spring sound off in ames.

i'm from iowa, and i think bass comps are fukin pointless, who cares if u hit 140 decibals, big fukin deal. wow i hope these people lose their hearing playing it that loud, it's fukin stupid, use some common sense and play the bass at a moderate level, *******, u don't have to ****in blast it all the time to show off. just my 2 cents //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/imdaman.gif.bc6c552e19aa4ad8c47461144f40eb1a.gif

And just because you compete.. it doesnt mean you leave it cranked all the time.

Most of the guys who keep it up at stoplights... or go through their hood at 11 PM blasting with the windows down... they arent competitors. Very few of the truly loud guys will ever do that.

Once you get to a point... it just seems stupid to constantly boom. Once you *actually* get loud... then your ears can't take it anymore.. and common sense would be: turn the dam thing down! Im sure some competitors are Ä$$Ä$... but most of the veterans aren't, because they are probably already half deaf.. lol.
