One of my friends says bass boost will screw up your sub. He says the sound wave flattens out with bass boost rather than being wavy. Does bass boost really mess with it?
well actually, it would be the opposite of what he said. think about it. the term bass boost,(usually boosts around 40 hz) wouldn't flatten out anything! most people get carried away with bass boost and it starts to distort the signal wave. which equates to distorted power. simply put, the less boost, the better, cleaner single you have. in theory you shouldt have to boost any signal, only cut.One of my friends says bass boost will screw up your sub. sorry but you couldt be more wrong! the shape of the cone has nothing to do with the shape of the wave! a speaker will produce whatever signal it is sent from an amplifier. weather it be a square, saw tooth, or what have you.yep, thats the same reason why you should NEVER get a square sub....because the flat ends make a square wave as opposed to the edge of a circle making round waves.... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif lol
