Bass boost knob quit working

My subs worked fine then its almost like my bass boost knob blew or shorted out. my speakers still work with it plugged in but it will not control the output. When I unplug it is the only time I can get full power to the subs and I have to change the head unit. Its frustrating, does anybody know why or what is wrong with it??

Check the wiring from the bass knob to the amp and make sure nothing got pinched.
