I feel your pain. I too am very sensitive to some pretty high frequency's, and often drive my wife insane.. DO YOU HEAR THAT!?! OMFG!!!!1 You cant hear that ear peircing noise?? WTF lol

Same here I piss every one of when I tell them to turn the tv off because the electric whine or what ever hurts my ears.

I'm not gonna lie, my ears have been hurting. i've been poundin it pretty hard lately. Really high audio (from components, or from anything else) hurts my ears. my ear drums feel like they're going to shatter.
my grandparents are almost deaf, and they didnt have subwoofers in my car when they were a kid, so am i gonna be like deaf by 40?

How many of you guys have noticed hearing loss already? i miss it when i first got my system and just barely having it up sounded cool and neat

It's not hearing loss you *** it's your ears getting adjusted to the weak system you have.

does it make any difference whether the sound is 25hz or 40hz effecting hearing? referring to sub stage only obviously

I too hear the very high frequencies from TVs and electronics that others can't.

i went to a life once lost concert 2 months ago and was standing about ten feet from the speakers. my ears are still ringing..

Don't go so depressed over the ringing though...

Mine came after a loud gunshot at close range....Didn't know my bro was ready to shoot, and he was right beside me..The first month i was all depressed and shit b/c of it..A month later, I learned to deal with it. That was 2 years ago. The ringing is there now, but **** it. Doesn't bother me at all.

dont know if this has been said but the bass (low notes) itself doesnt cause hearing loss the high notes do. pressure levels could cause hearing loss though but not the low notes itself.

I can hear tvs too when they make that static noise. One of my friends said he ccan hear dog whistles but sounds crazy to me.

tv whine is annoying beyond belief. Highs are the only things that hurt my ears...

I hate my ears adjusting to bass....the largest reason theres always a quest to be louder. 140 now feels like 130 to me, yet my friends are like WTF how do you listen to that:crap:

X2. I can barely hear bass on volume 25/35 but my friend start yelling for me to turn it down. It is funny though when I can barely hear it but my mom is screaming say she can't breathe and is having chest pains.
