I'm not gonna lie, my ears have been hurting. i've been poundin it pretty hard lately. Really high audio (from components, or from anything else) hurts my ears. my ear drums feel like they're going to shatter.

my grandparents are almost deaf, and they didnt have subwoofers in my car when they were a kid, so am i gonna be like deaf by 40?

How many of you guys have noticed hearing loss already? i miss it when i first got my system and just barely having it up sounded cool and neat

i hear shit im not supposed to......we have this thing for our neighbors dog, its motion sensored and it plays a super high frequency that only dogs and cats should hear and i can hear it.....things annoying when i mow the yard

you guys should get some ear plugs. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

sounds stupid but i've noticed that when using earplugs the sound clarity is much better and deeper. though i roll with the windows up so no one can me wearing them through the tint. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/tongue.gif.6130eb82179565f6db8d26d6001dcd24.gif

High distorted frequencies are the most damaging. Listening to loud sub bass is not as bad. Now if your exsposing yourself to 140-145db for any longer than a few minutes thats just reckless. I have been a car audio nut since I was 17 years old and have had a system in everything I drive since. I did the boomcar thing cruising for hours and I started to notice my hearing was going down hill. I cut back on the long booming cruise sessions and focused more having nice sounding setups that can get loud. I am 32 now and my hearing is fine, I dont jam like I used to but I like my music loud. Just not stupid loud and besides just about everywhere has a noise ordinance so save it for the parking lot and save your hearing your kids might have something to say and you would want to be able to hear them.

That's a mistake I made yesterday driving a total of 5 hours to snowboarding and back home. My ears felt like they were pulsing when I was trying to go to sleep.
