Bass and Hearing Damage

Out of curiosity... and due a annoying girlfriend... (your going to damage your ears.. blah blah).. What are your guys opinions? I think it probably does damage, but not to the extent that higher frequencies do.. What do you think?

I've heard it's more the high freq that hurts it. Not really the bass.

I dont see how low notes hurt your ears, but I can see a tweeter in your ear in a daily driver making you go deaf.

the difference between a tweeter and a subwoofer? nothing, they still move air to make noise...

Well most people here love the lows and the lows do nothing but move your body around and create a lot of vibrations. Either way 140+ DBs of anything cant be good over a long period of time but bass doesnt painfully affect your hearing
