a. there is not going to be a mass conspiracy of intentional walks. he's going to get it sooner or later, and no pitcher wants to be the pitcher that gave it to him, but that's sports.

b. if he breaks the record, he breaks the record, it's that simple. whether you like it or not, the record is going to be broken, and seeing as how MLB hasn't taken away any of his homeruns when he did steroids and what not, apparently those homeruns count.

c. doesn't matter, a-rod is on his way to taking a record away from him so he'll gain one record and lose another

Tell me how steroids improve someones timing of hitting the ball at the right point of a swing.

You guys believe home runs demand pure muscle, but Aaron wasnt a muscular guy by todays standards, he just had the ability to hit the ball in the sweet spot on the bat at the right point of his swing more consistently than anyone before him.

i don't think you get the point. Yes, barry can hit the ball, we all know that. But steroids give him stronger muscles, which in turn allow him to swing the bat harder, which in turn makes the ball go farther.
he has the technique down, he's just cheating so the ball goes farther everytime he hits it because he has more force on the ball.

I hope the pitchers just intentionally walk him so he doesn't get the last HR. If i were the pitcher and he needed one more i'd throw a 100mph fastball at his head.
