*Barry Bonds HR Countdown Thread*

k, k , sorry. haha exaggerated must have been the wrong word. "wrong" would have been more correct. but like i said, the numbers starting from 1999 do open your eyes, i don't deny that. all.

So the numbers are "wrong" //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif

They're numbers dude- they aren't right or wrong.

okay again sorry, skewed. 4 of 15 sounds a lot worse than 6 of 11 //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif.

Where are you getting 11 from?

I said before, even if we count those 2 seasons, it's 6 out of 15.

Not counting this season, the past six, INCLUDING 05 where he played only 14 games, he's done it 4 out of 6.

6 out of 15 (hypothetically) vs. 4 out of 6...how's that skewed...?

If you go back earlier in his career... LOOK at the size of bonds. He was freakin skinny compared to now. His shoulders are all bulky and his arms are huge. Looks very similar to... Jose Canseco...Palmero... and most definately MARK MCGWIRE. I bet sammy sosa used steriods as well. The point is they are all little *****es because they used steriods to improve their game. Everyone of those players named would only be "good" players in the books but because of the fact that they used steriods and their is really no proof over the years they are considered great steriods. Hank Aaron will always be considered a better baseball PLAYER and homerun HITTER than fake *** bonds. He needs to stop blaming white people about how blacks are treated unfairly and etc etc and start blaming himself for taking steriods.
you are wrong, bonds like i said before taking steroids was a sure 1st ballot HOF'er but by taking steroids it has propelled him into being considered a HOF'er to being considered one of the greatest ever to play. he was already considered to be a "great" before taking steroids. he was voted over ken griffey jr. for sporting news best player in the 90's //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif. mcgwire hit 49 homeruns his rookie year but really wasn't considered "great" as he was just a pure home run hitter. i wouldn't consider mcgwire great but good with or without steroids. same goes with sosa.

also for stolen bases, yes he got huge and thats a huge reason why he's not stealing anymore but also tendinitis in his knee probably was the physical reason why he can't run at all. you can't run when your knee is all jacked up. stop spreading assumptions around.

like i said earlier, he didn't start hitting homeruns til 90. he was a different player in the late 80's as he was a leadoff man //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif. if you want to count his power number years, it didn't really start til 1990.

He was playing, that's what matters. Doesn't matter what he did his first few seasons, but he was playing full seasons.

You're not going to take Ortiz's career numbers and average them out over his last few seasons since he didn't do much in Minnesota...

Aaron wasnt that great of a home run hitter, it took him 795 more games and 3966 more at bats than Babe Ruth to hit 41 more home runs

Bonds is already 388 games and 1194 at bats more than Ruth with only 30 more home runs

Babe Ruth was a great home run hitter and if at bat per home run matters Mark McGwire was the best home run hitter of all time at a home run every 10.61 at bats

Bonds can **** a **** with his racial crap, it is proven stats that prove the 2 top home run hitters all time are white doods!

Ah, you are talking different ERA's. Thats what I dont get about how people can even compare! A lot goes into it. How the pitchers were back then to now and how longer the fields used to be back then to now and more people throw fastballs then junk compared to back in the day.

Hank Aaron is the champ and rightfully so. He could hit home runs and hit for average, plus he had 3771 hits. So he had a lot more to his game than just hitting homeruns. He was also up there with Bonds in walks, but more games.

Babe Ruth had amazing numbers as well, but didnt blossum for years. If he started off with a bang, he would BE the all time greatest ever!

Barry Bonds as much as I hate the POS, has had an amazing career. I still wont consider him the champ because of the type of team player he is. He is out for one person and one person only.
