Bangin' on a budget....a REAL tight budget.

So my brother calls me from Cali and says he's going to be putting a stereo in his new car. But doesn't want to spend a whole lot of money on the set up. He has a HU already, still needs 2 subs and an amp.

He'll go for either 2 10" subs or 2 12" subs, doesn't want to spend more than $60 a piece on the subs.

Needs an amp with it, he's really lowballing on the amp and doesn't want to spend more than $100 on the amp.

Suggestions...other than spend more money?

For an amp I'd go for the US Acoustics USX2100 ... $100 from thezeb.

As for subs, I was going to suggest the eD Kx series ... but they're $75 per 10".

Sticking to the budget, Pioneer TS-W305C, Rockford Fosgate Punch HE RFP4410, or even perhaps some "factory blemished" MTX Thunder 8000's from SoundDomain - the 4500's from MTX are also in this range I guess. Crystal CSe, Kicker Comp, Polk GNX, Phoenix Gold Titanium (renewed from SD), etc. Image Dynamics ID Series maybe if you can find it for cheap.

Probably find some decent deals on e-bay.

Pioneer TS-W305C was the first thing that came to mind. And that US Acoustics amp.

Any other possible amp suggestions for $100?

So basically, you're seriously serious about being seriously serious? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crazy.gif.c13912c32de98515d3142759a824dae7.gif
Seriously serious about being seriously serious is seriously serious seriousness.

And that seriously makes no sense.

Either way, let us know what you do with his stereo //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

I've only ever heard the Pioneer sub, so I can't personally recommend a different sub to him. All I can do is go by what you guys say. As of now I'll tell him the Pioneer, unless you think one of the others mentioned is better for the money.

Go to Ikesound.com and get him two 10" Audiobahn AWC10T. I have one AWC12T and it hits hard, its a new model. There prolly around 130 dollers each but on Ikesound I got mine for 45 bucks. For any Amp get a Profile Cali Amp of Ikesound.
