Banana Plugs?

In my personal opinion, the biggest advantage of banana plugs is fitting oversized speaker wire into your subs. If you wanted 8ga speaker wire to lower the resistance as much as possible, it's pretty much impossible to fit 2 8ga wires in one push terminal.

Yea I agree! Don't want the aluminum creeping out of the terminal over time either, maybe copper would be safer
