skip, you have a different box every week, so you know what works and such

ive only had 1 sub up port back box in there so far

so which of these would you do? i need to start making out the plans tomorrow or friday

8cubes:

30.5 and 37.5(stock length of 17")

31 and 38

32 and 39 or

33 and 40

34 and 41

7.5 cubes 17" long

31.5 and 38.5

i could drop down to 7cubes and leave them 17"

32.5 and 40hz

33 and 41hz

and just a thought, i dont plan on competing too much really, dont know if ill have alot of time coming up, i dont want to get the tuning up so high to where i cant use it on anything but burps, so im thinking like 31 and 38 or 32 and 39 so i can use all 3 to demo music and still be able to play anythign on them, but get a smooth-ish sound when im by myself

You running all that off a plate amp haha

Id do the 8cu and try stock length first....meter than and if its not a 150 legal, cut a lil length.

Youre right around the power for ur subs....my Rs was gonna be overpowered so i went smaller to compensate and too stay under windowline and in stock burp class

It should do a 50 with anything you try though, i also bet you once you play the 37hz with all 3 ports, you wont plug it up again....wont notice much diff on the lows.

Just a guess though.

It should work anyway you try....its not as crucial if ur not trying to get the last few tenths outta it.

You have the power, the subs are nice, box COULDDD kill it, but youre on the right track to not fail with that.

Itll do what itll do and play daily all day.....and meter decently, it should be a 149.9 bassracer with a good start.

Haha nahh. Just saying that's the only variable that would make it not loud.

We have the same truck, power, and 4 12s

my roof is deadened all to hell, dont know how that will affect it

there is a guy over on SMD DC forum that just did 4 LVL4 XL off 2 ab500's, 7.5 cubes with 4 6" aeros, its a 02 or 03 explorer

bad thing is its pretty close to the design i was going for...

looks good though

Cool, I just looked at it over there.

That's T3_audio160jeep over here, he used to have 9512s in that same box.

Him and matrxxdude was my inspiration for gettin my loud.

I think I was past matrxx and xploreon22s never really had a true number but we was close. 154.7ish legal for both us, matrxx was about 53ish with 4 MTs and 2 stetsom 7kw

I wanna see vids and metering from him but he never does.

My 4 12"s wasnt to successful. I think I was tuned way to low. My temporary setup in my sig is louder then my 4 12"s were.

Ur box was off. II wouldn't have done slot right there, in the middle with subs on both sides would been better.

If you had to use slot, ill prolly never use slot again unless I do a wall in something

well got done with some measurements, had a few different choices

the one i drew up a cut sheet of was:

36x18.25x30 then add .75 to the height for a 2nd baffle

inner deminsions of 34.5x16.75x28.5 gives a 9.53 gross volume - .75 for the ports and ~.75 for the subs and you get 8.03 net and after braces it will be 7.9-8cu ft net

36 is as wide as i can go with doing a battery rack on the side

19"+a .75"bottom floor is about as high as i can go without being over seat or window

If the box is too deep it kills my output, so 30" should be good, learned that mistake on the last box

so this looks like the one im doing if everything stays the way it is now... gonna need around 1.3 sheets of wood, which will leave me enough for the battery racks and the bottom floor

It was my VERY first box I ever bought in my life time lol Its been sitting in my garage for about a year and a half and I figured what the hell Ill throw the BTL's in it. Suprisingly its a good bit louder then my 4 12"s Its I believe 7 cubes the box

Im loving the BTL's!
