Baltimore city cop vs skateboard kid. v. cop gets suspended.

unless there was a lot missing the kid wasnt being that disrespectful. im 26 and have reacted the same way if some fat *** cop jumped my *** over nothing. hell the kids were sitting around they were riding at least not in the vid doesnt mean they werent before of course.

to throw the kid down that way though the cop should be suspended without pay and terminated for abuse of power

but yes it wouldnt hurt for mom and dad to step up so the kid learns most cops are pieces of sh*t on a power trip because they feel they are over the law
Then you were a little shit too.

youre being dumb and uncivil about the whole matter, like you never backed talked someone ONCE in your life. if you didnt ONCE at all, congratu-****in-lations, you deserve a cookie for being perfect child. just cause the kid says dude a couple times doesnt mean he has bad parents either., like your parents never let you hang out with your friends. maybe they did though and they held your hand the whole time. the cop was obviously taking advantage of a 14 year old and knowing that hes bigger than him. if a 40 year old man had acted this way(which i barely think the kid was being disrespectful), it would have been a little different. if a cop was taking something of your property im sure you would have acted in an almost common manner.

no im the son of a US Marshall and nephew of a chief of police.

my dad is a power hungry SOB but hes not a prick to kids. only time he uses force like that is if they try to come at him.

no way the cop was in the right for manhandling and tossing the kid over calling him DUDE. to a 14 year old thats not disrespect that is daily talk these days not just for kids.

yea ive f**cked up before though. no such thing as a perfect child.

There is a growing problem with increased policing of the police. Which, from working in Baltimore, I have seen it only hinders them and costs the tax payers more money while crime and murder are still on the rise. But the same people here worried about supporting the kid who broke the law, are the same ones that voted for the Mayor to be promoted to Gov here in MD. We are now all paying serverly higher taxes and higher BGE bills, with more taxes proposed with no end in site. Put it this way, if I did not work in Baltimore, we would move to Delaware (including SSA as a business) because the Gov. and Mayor are out of control. They are on the Clinton plan.

/rant that went a little off the rails...
denim, it could be worse - they could be on the Bush plan and have the state in billions of dollars deficit - wait a minute the last Governor of Maryland all ready did that. One fundamental accounting rule is missing - your debits and credits must match - when you continually take (tax credits) without giving (tax increases) you eventually end up with a deficit. Say like the $500 billion dollar deficit we as a nation currently have, but lets give more tax breaks to the rich and have the middle class people pay for it. When Clinton left office there was a SURPLUS of approx $400 billion, now there is a DEFICIT of $500 billion and our economy is in a recession and people want to continue with tax cuts and tax rebates that just added another $130 billion to the deficit. I know, Clinton was responsible for the recession of 2001, but good ole Bush sure did use up that SURPLUS to get out of it didn't he, what does the next President have to work with - a DEFICIT of $500 billion. Get your mind right bro.

Never once said I didn't. When I did and caught the repercussions of it, I didn't blindly blame the wrong people. My parents never let me.

whos blaming the wrong people here? who wouldnt say that the cop went beyond necessary here?
Sure, but I lay more blame with the kid not doing the right thing in the first place. No need to go all "sue happy and cop hatin" on a public servant sick of these disrespectful kids takin a shit ever where they please. I am willing to bet this wasn't the first run in with this shit. Are you going to tell me you don't have a boiling point too?

I guess I am a sheep to the system //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif
never said that.

but i also understand it is a cops duty to enforce the law, not try to act like a parental figure to "teach" respect to 14 year olds...

his job was to tell them to stop skating and make sure they left. if they resisted, they get arrested. not a ****ing choke hold.

Well if his boiling point involves snot nosed 14 year old kids who enjoy skateboarding in places they shouldn't, then he shouldn't be a cop. In fact, I'd be willing to bet that this isn't the first time this has happened. Also, I want my cops to be able to handle themselves with a little more class, patience, and professionalism. I mean good God, the kid had his ear buds in and said he couldn't hear the cop, and the cop ran off on how undisciplined and unbelievable the kid was.

He ****ing physically assaulted the kid and took his skateboard because he didn't call him officer.

I hope he takes his 17 years on the job and never gets another one.
