my sub has been droppin out for a cpl weeks. usually around turns n what not, i assumed its my amp that isnt secured. Then after a while i noticed it would stop working at very low volumes. turn it up and the bass came back. 2 days ago it quit completely.

The sub is fine, i pressed the cone, its not blown. i checked all wiring in my trunk, its very tight and secure. Both my 4 channel and mono power up fine. Its a little cold out so i dont want pull out the HU and start messin with that.

anybody have a clue?

im running 4awg from the battery to the amps i believe. yes they are grounded to the same point. i think the grounds are 8awg tho

Test your channel with a dmm with the h/u on while playing music. If you get no voltage or a very low voltage at supposedly high volumes, it's your amp... if that's not the case. Check the resistance of the voice coil(s) on the sub(s). If you don't get a resistance reading, something isn't attached electrically.

i switched the channel on my amp and it did nothing. i took the sub out of the box today and all wires are very secure. had this setup running since the fall now never had a problem til now =/

if its warm i will get the Dimm out tomorrow thanks for the advice.
