Baddest 4x6's out there

Not sure what year Cavalier you are dealing with but a few years back I did an install in one and I simply used a 4x6 to 6.5 adapter kit......this was also in the front doors.....

It's no problem with the diameter but the depth seems to be though. This is a 1995 Cavalier just like the poster that put up the pics of his 97. Too much hassle doing all that for her first system. As long as she gets decent tunes up front I don't think she will see that much difference in the 6.5's.

Just searched back and saw several good responses on the Boston 746's.

The best 4x6 are made by infinity and are 2ohm. I was gonna use them but modded my rear doors to fit 6.5's

INFINITY KAPPA 462.7cfp 4x6" 2-WAY 160W SPEAKERS

I looked back and someone said the 462.5's sounded better than the 462.7's. Know anything about that?

Boston also makes a great 6x9.

I agree on that one with you. I listened to the SL-95's at Tweeter and they sounded just awesome! Seems you can never get all the ones you want to try in the same place at the same time to see though. I keep looking over the reviews and the Polk's look pretty darn good and they have a Silk tweet which I love.
