Bad Adapter?

Could I have a bad adapter/wire harness? I bought a new Pioneer HU, and I had it installed in my old car, but then when that died I tried to transfer it into my new one. Well it worked in the first one, but now it won't work. I know its not a wiring problem b/c the old stereo in the car works, but once I try hooking up the new one it won't work. I've exchanged the Pioneer once already, and I get power and everything just no sound. So it has't worked with 2 Pioneer's and then my old HU doesn't work either. it could be a bad adapter...if you want..spend another $15 and see if a new one works. or check all the wiring....if the speaker wires are shorted out, they will play no sound (even if only one channel is shorted, its possible that both channels won't work). check all the settings on the HU. try a third HU.

If its JUST the sound you're having problems with, check the connections at the speakers. Check the settings on your head unit. Are you running the speakers off of an amp? If so check the amp wiring also, and your fuses and such. Just go down the line as to what all could be bad. Dont always blame it on the HU... it could be the wiring in your car.
