I am awaiting my wiring kit in the mail -- I'm running the 8 guage power cable along the driver side of the car and the RCA's and speaker wire on the passenger side.

What about the wire for the backup cam I'll be installing the same day. Can this run on the driver side? Or will the power cable create interference?

It only works when the car is in reverse. Also, some units have trigger options in the settings menu.
