All it took to get her running was:

New carb

choke pull off

oil filer/change

air and fuel filters

timing

redid ground with 0 gauge

greased the chassis

Someone had removed all the BS smog/emissions garbage but didn't do a great job of capping things off or hooking up the important vacuum lines up to the right places... so he also spent countless hours sorting out that nightmare.

All of that work was from a distant relative and he only charged me $605 total. I figured a good price.

I also just got an entire new exhaust too. New from the manifold on back..... except they had to weld my hollowed out catalytic converter in place to appease Obama and his tree hugger friends. I went with a mid grade glass pack and i really like the sound.

Tomorrow i'm going to get the front/rear differential fluid changed over to synthetic, change the transfer case fluid, and have the ****** flushed and filter changed.

I'm a little nervous about the ****** flushing but at 100K and 21 years its probably due.

leave the ****** alone. just top it off with good fluid when it needs it.

have heard countless ppl say the ****** lasted less than 6 months after a fluid flush.

all the old garbage in the ****** fluid now is somehow helping it. take it away and its done for.

I had a bop turbo 350 ***** in my old 72 pontiac lemans that had been neglected all its life. so I just kept topping off the ***** with fluid when it needed it - and daily drove the car for the next 8 years. when the ****** ended up taking a dump - third gear acted like neutral. then second /

by the time I limped the car to the shop in first gear all the way there - the dude said my ****** inside was fine exept that it had completely worn away all of the friction bands until they were non existant. - so take that ****** flush !

dam that bish is clean
paint the leather console thing tan to match tho,
it was super clean for $500...

i thought about that for speakers but it would be lame... almost mono because the sound would be coming from only one side. Besides, audio comes after mechanical on this vehicle. I'm gonna rock the logitech rechargeable ipod dock speaker for a while //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
