I just purchased a b-stock nine.1 it comes with a full warrenty i think its transfurable its 90 days or maybe 1 year not sure starting from the 27th. I dont need it anymore so im going to try to sell it quick. 250 shipped. Thanks alot.

b-stock usually means 'did not pass inspection.' Also known as 'seconds' - like the Ecko shirt you got at the flea market that has one longer sleeve. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

Ascendant Audio sells what they call "B" stock subs for a lower price. He explained that the only thing that made them "B" stock was the fact that he takes a random sub out of the box and tests it to make sure they are in spec, I bought one today.

b-stock means different things at different companies.

chad's B-stock is something intelegent

ben's b-stock means it was broken at some point or actually belongs to someone else but was "lost" on a "boat" in "korea"

doesnt mean it didnt pass inspection by anything. They assured me it was 100% like new besides some small cosmetical flaws. and if somethign was broke. They replace the whole thing like the board/power supply.

For most companies that offer "b-stock" goods for sale to the general public that is what it means. Operationally 100% items with some smallish (sometimes indistinguishable to the average person) cosmetic flaw. Well, sometimes the flaws aren't so smallish but more often than not they are.

It's like buying "blemished" car batteries (or haven't any of you ever done that on a tight budget?) that will be just like buying a new battery as far as how well it works but the sticker will have been put on crooked. Or part of the handle is cracked or cut or something stupid like that. Can't be sold as "new" so it is sold as a blemish but there's no performance difference over buying new.

Having rattled all of this off notwithstanding, the powers-that-be at Elemental Designs aren't terribly popular outside of Mr Milne's personally controlled universe at his message board. I won't get into why as I actually don't know all of the details myself. I'd wonder about buying from him, however, after reading entirely too many retellings regarding his shady business practices //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif
