Pudding is good.
A friend of mine had an AVN5500 installed in her car awhile ago and the shop installed an iPod interface which appears to fool the HU into thinking it's a CD-changer.
Problem is, it only shows like 4 discs and even then there is no track data. Finding songs, etc. appears to be nearly impossible. Granted I only played with it for about 5 minutes and am completely unfamiliar with the Eclipse units.
Is the iPod interface really THAT bad for that unit? I noticed that the Eclipse web site doesn't even mention the possibility of hooking up the iPod.
Is there anything I can do to add at least some functionality to it? As it is, she is so frustrated that she doesn't even use the iPod in the car. (She really isn't stereo savvy at all.)
TIA
