auxiliary pin schematic

Hello,

I purchased a 2005 Pontiac Vibe with a factory stereo. The stereo has an auxiliary button on the front, but no auxiliary plug. The back of the stereo has an unused rectangular plug with several pins. I assume that 3 of the pins are for the auxiliary. Does anyone know where I can find a schematic of the pins?

Thanks,

D

no clue on the schematic, however auxilary plugs usually have 5 wires, so more than 3 pins are probably used if that is indeed for an aux hookup.

Thanks for the replies.

There’s no auxiliary jack on the center console. I think 2005 is before most cars had auxiliary jacks.

The unused plug on the back of the radio I’m referring to is square and has about 20 pins (I have to pull it out again to find out exactly how many). I assume that some of the pins, whether 3 or 5, are for the auxiliary button on the front of the stereo.

I’m going swing by a Pontiac dealer to see if anyone there knows anything.

Thanks for the help.

Best,

D
