Autopage Alarm

Hi im looking to buy an autopage RS-855LCD and would like to see if anyone has any experience with this system. I went to a authorized viper alarm shop and he was really pushing the autopage over the viper system. any info would be great. thanks

I've got the autopage 720? model, its the model below the 855

It's a great alarm in my opinion, but then again this is my first. The only problem I've had with it is the transmitter itself. The little clock on there doesnt keep time, it runs about 15 minutes slow every week. And quite a bit of the paint/coating on it chipped off within 3 weeks. I emailed the company and they said I could mail it back and get a new one.

If you are planning on doing it yourself, I suggest buying it online its a heck of alot cheaper.

if thats the one w/ the carbon fiber remote i have it...no prob as of yet...been about 10 months..clock keeps accurate time and has very good range...even if it doesnt tell you it started(car) it prob did neways...its tricked me acouple times....all in all though no probs...i paid 370 installed cause i had to get a $30 module for my factory key chip thingy...lifetime warrenty ect...

i have 0 experience w/ other pager systems...but have owned many alarms...it would be hard for me to go back to a reg alarm now

I just got the car back yesterday with the alarm put in. Everything is fine but have a question. When i go to arm the alarm/lock doors it chirps 3 times saying that a door is ajar. All the doors are closed, so i clear the icon by pressing set 3 times. This happens every time i go to arm the system. Any thoughts of the problem? I sent an email to autopage and am probably goin to head back to the installer tomorrow.
