automatic headlights

how do i override my automatic headlights. at night ill turn my signal lights on and then when i start moving the low beams will turn on. how do i bypass it on a 2003 chevy impala

i thought the whole point of lights at night was to see where you were driving, guess not

Find the dusk sensor output wire, and put it on a switch. The dusk sensor should be mounted on the top of the dash, and should only have 2 wires... You should be able to switch either one, and override the autolights. Not that it makes any sense to do so...
