Audison Vrx 2.400 or Vrx 4.300?

hello guys,

i'm buying one of these amps for my speakers .. what are your thoughts? which one would be a better choice? the speakers are on a Helix A2 now ... to keep the A2 and get one of the two Audisons?

What speakers? If you are dropping that much money, you might as well get the 4ch and go active..

my front stage is Iridium 6.2, and i'm runing them passive now ...

Unless you go with the 4 channel and go active, you aren't going to see any improvement or likely even any difference between the DLS amp (a very nice amp) and either of the Audisons (also very nice amps). The amps are an infinitesimally small part of the sound of the system. The speakers, processors and mostly the install and tuning are what make the system sound its best. SQ championships have been won with what most would consider average equipment. The potential of lots of great equipment has been wasted on mediocre installs.

helotaxi what do you think? should i go with the vrx4.300 or the vrx2.400 for a passive system? would the bridged mode affect the separation?

Bridged mode won't affect anything except how hot the amp will run and a negligible effect on distortion. The stereo separation will potentially be better because of the separate input stages. Still not worth the trouble. I've done it with older Orion amps to get more power, but only because they're what I had at the time. If you're going to run passive, just go with the stereo amp.

i want to know without any external active crossover can the internal active x-overs of the vrx4.300 give better results than the passive x-overs on the iridium set?

in the end i got the vrx 2.400 for now and my passive setup, in the near future would get a vrx2.150 and will go actiive... thank you so much for the inputs ..

but i'd like to know would this amp be a better choice for the focal speaekers? because i listen to rock and trance mostly but i really love how the iridiums sound in pop and slow songs ...
