ok well maybe but i still feel thats not enough power for 2 max's even if they are ported. Like i said they start to come alive off 700w, which i would say is a minimum. how much power were you sending to your old ones?sold my old pair... getten some new ones. yeah, they'll be dual 2
nah...we like the idmax's. i've owned both models. never heard a idq ported. i wish they made the v3's in a 15". i had a problem with my old idq's hitting low. don't even listen to rap and here i am bltching about it...honestly. id say 2 12" idqv3's d2's getting 1100 or so @ 2 ohms. off the amp would be plenty loud ported
I'm getting this amp next week to power Hertz MLK1 65's active and one IDQ12 V.3.
It's a nice amp and should do the trick. I'm not totally sure about two IDmax's on it though.
I really wanna try active, plus there's so many more things you can do while active. Individual time alignment, phase control from the deck, different crossover settings, etc.Why are you going active with the hertz? The crossovers are amazing. What type of eq are you going to use.
