So I am looking for a new amp that does 2k at 2 ohms. My budget is around $800 not much more. The aq3500 seems like a good choice any opinions on a better deal for the $?

Honestly ide go AQ since theres a 2yr warranty and top notch CS, i just ordered a 1200D from them,

But this is also a great option

Lanzar OPTI4601D 4600W RMS, Monoblock Class D OptiDrive Car Amp

Or spend a tab more and have some nice overhead, hope you got good electrical

I looked at the opti line and was considering it, but for my budget I would like to get the best bang for my buck and I am not sure lanzar is the way tyo go.

From what ive been told the OPTI line isnt like lanzars crappy stuff. There suppose to be pretty good, but like i said ide go AQ lol

AQ is a very solid amp, run a bunch of them. And if you ever need more power they'll do .5ohm daily with good electrical and .25ohm for burps...

Out of curiosity, why does it need to be a 2 ohm amp? What about .5? What about re-coning to be able to wire to 1 ohm?

I have 2 sa 12's now but I want to leave room to go bigger when I get tired of this. So I am looking for a bigger amp now then I only need to worry about subs later.

If you've got $800, you should look into some higher end stuff than AQ. AQ's great if you're on a budget, but with $800, you aren't on much of a budget hahaha.

You should be able to find a nice atomic 5000.1, an RD d9, a cactus 5k, a saz-4500, etc... for $800ish.

Those lanzar opti's don't look bad. I did some research. They do rated. And they better than the sound stream xxx

I believe he wants new so all of though are out of the question, plus hed would need alot of eletrical for that. Dont all thoughs amps take 2 runs of power/ground?

And from what ive been told,(ive been asking everyone who OWNS AQ stuff what they think, many of the peeople also ran sundown, DC, fosgate) AQ amps will keep up with the best of them. A member told me he had the AQ1200 and an SAZ1200, it he had to buy again he would go AQ. Since he didnt believe the quality was worth the price jump.

All in all ide go with one of these options if your trying to stay new

I thought the AQ3500 takes to runs of power. Because it does 4300 @ 1

But he would have PLENTY of room to upgrade to all kinds of insane stuff in the future if you went AQ

Nerp, he didnt mention electrical at all. I already said hes gunna sum upgrades.

OP, whats your eletrical look like? You know 2K is gunna require atleaste 1 extra batt maybe 2 depending on your alt amperage

I have ho alt, good batt. Up front and 2 for the back. I will run another power and ground back when I need it.
