either will work fine with the proper electrical to support it. BIG3 and better batt up front would be a good start...

Wattage has no direct correlation to dBs.

it would be very close. its hard to tell. with the same power the 2 15s should be louder with more cone area. but the 18 with almost 2x the power it would be close.

Eh, it's hard to say because the enclosure/car type is going to impact it a ton. I would say look at some amps around ~2500 watts to get you going though. If you have a big *** SUV/trunk car it might take a lot of work

either one of those should def do that. i did a 146.8 with 1 15 and aq 2200d. im guessing this is going in an suv. so i wouldnt be surprised if you did over a 150. i only had a g51r battery under my hood and a g34 in the back for the 2200d.
