audioque noise?

idk wat it is. we are going to play it for now and break it in. the sub plays fine. if he gets fed up with it im am going to buy it from him and use it in a rear firing setup where i will never hear the noise:D

most of the problems that i have seen from the AQHDC subs is suspension failure, a torn spider or a ripped one, sometimes it could be the first layer spiders, you wont be able to tell untill you do a recone. Most of the cases ive seen personally thats what happend and the coil bottomed out or started rubbing. On mine HDC's it ripped all the spiders but of course I had lots of power to them, but with the american made spiders that were on the old HD's I never once had a problem with the spiders. Even on the new recones I recieved from DJ for the HDC's I didnt like the spiders or the way they are mounted. From taking the ruined ones off to get ready for the recones I notice a few things I didnt care for. On the mounting ring there is like 1" depth, 1 layer of spiders is on the bottom, 1 layer on the top so that leaves a huge gap in the center, 1 rips and basically youll have noise. The rest of the spiders are in that gap but dont fill it all. I wish he would of sandwiched all of them like on the old ones and used american spiders. The chinese ones dont compare to the US ones at all. But heck there a wicked sub for the $$ //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

x2. Of the two subs i have had to recone one was suspension, spiders tore, and the other was a coil rubbing/misaligned because i didn't break it in properly. Recones shouldn't be that much and well worth it to do it yourself and just buy all the stuff you need.
