Coils may be out of line?

IT is in 3.85 cubes at 40 hz. fully braced box 1 8.5" sono tube. if we did break it in wrong{i dont see how that could make this noise} then thats fine. the sub plays fine it just makes that noise. i have heard of other peoples doing this to. maybe it will go away once the suspension loosens up fully.

Low notes or high notes?
You should keep the volume down...

What series woofer do you have? i'm assuming SDC2.5 ?
more on the lows. Yes it is a sdc2.5 15. i guess ill tell him to go easier on it for about 2 weeks or so. then i will see if the problem persists.

You shouldn't have been playing them low notes in the first place! The point is not to get the woofer moving at the lower excursions..

Break it in for a bit more on medium volumes, if it doesn't go away, live with it or recone it..
