i would definitely have to say the AQ will get louder by at least 2 dbs under correct circumstances. i have owned both. dp 15s and 21s. HDC3 12, 10, and 15. the HDC3 for loudness. the DP sounds better and gets lower to my, audibly at least, plus theyre about 200 cheaper.

Which ones do you think would take the power better daily?? Think the OP says 2000 watts rms

AQ HDC3 hands down, even the copper coil. i may have had a bit of the DP signal clipped a bit but when i reconed them, the coils were almost burnt, 2 3ks divided among 4 15s. and the 21s smelled on 3k and the gains barely up.

DPs sound a shitload better though,SQ wise

The AQ HDC is a good woofer, I'm sure, but I don't think it can take the power any better than the DP, nor do I think it will be 2 db louder than the DP.

We've built a reputation over the years of having an SPL product - which means more or less - doesn't break, takes power, doesn't sound as well as other woofers, and its loud. The new DP is made with the intent of all of the above and includes with the new line up - better sound.

I would say the DP's are SPL and the DR's are SQL.The warden would probably be more geared toward Competition SPL IMO.

Oh, your going to see an SPL driver soon. But the DP is the top of the line daily woofer and will continue to be, just because its not an SPL drivers doesn't mean it won't handle a ton of abuse or not get loud.
