To the side isn't always the loudest for every box. Totally depends on the box and loading, like I said before. I can tell you this though........the two most impressive explorer scores ever recorded were both done with side firing boxes. James Herron's 2004 St. A world championship run at over 153 with 2 kicker l7 10's, and Kevin Koller's 2006 St C world championship run at a 157, with 4 solox 12's.i have the same car as you. in my case with my speaker i used sideways was not the loudest.
at db drag finals this year did you use the same box from usaci's finals last year? 4 12'' audioque with those memphis amps with the vent port vertical down the middle?
I didn't go to db drag finals this year. Just in 2006. I'm waiting until I can do my WF run with my own TL out in my driveway, and link up with everyone via the WWW. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crazy.gif.c13912c32de98515d3142759a824dae7.gif But, I used the same box for both dB Drag finals in 06 and USAC finals in 06. I actually built that setup at dB Drag finals in Lousville. I thought it did pretty good considering it was all new amps, box, and subs, that had never even been played before.
But I'm not talking about SPL setups here. This is just a good daily driver box. I would do things totally different if this were for SPL.
