ok, im considering a HD315 and possibly a 2500D, i have a 15"

mag in my home audio setup that used to be in my car. would this HD315 be anywhere close to the mag in sq? i am looking to be alot louder than the mag but still be able to hit every bassline i throw at it and not miss a beat no matter how complex it is, oh and this is for a daily driver.. thanks

Well I can tell you it's going to be no where near as nice as your Mag. But, I hear it is a very efficient subwoofer. I don't think in the SPL deparment, with 2500w, you would be struggling.

You could get another 1200d and wire one to each coil.

Yes louder,but nah it isnt gonna be anywheres near the sq.Dont get me wrong I have hd3s and love them the sq ISNT bad at all. But u could tune it to like 35hz and it should give u that sq u want...but not like the mag. And 2500 wrms will be fine. They start moving pretty good around 1500.Get the 1.5 coils and wire it to .7( Ur talkin about the Orion 2500 right?)and it will enjoy the extra power.

HD3 = SPL

Mag = SQ

Totally different game, but as you know the mag can get loud, the HD3 will get louder. The HD3 can sound **** good - if setup correctly, but I am sure the Mag is much easier to get to sound better. I have heard the mags are pretty forgiving when it comes to box/tuning, I believe lil maniac said that, and he has worked with both.

I think the Mag would rock in a HT set up and a HD3 would sound **** goood and loud in your car. It's a trade off though.

yea the mag in a 5 cu ft @ 25 hz sonotube enclosure is pretty much crazy, shakes absoultly everything in my house.. ok i see that the hd3 can sound good, but can it handle most complex basslines without missing a beat?
