Did you sit it on the floor when you free aired it? You don't want to block the pole vent. Put it in the box where it wants to be.

HELL Iv gave my 2 15 hdc315 about 13 hours of good play time and there still stiff and there almost there

same with my FI Q 18. a lot of people said you don't need to break it in, but it's definitely gotten louder as time goes on.

The HDC's have a specific reason to be broken in. The Q is just loosening up with playing time...

I put 12 hours on my HDC's then let em rip. Sound good, get VERY loud, and no noises whatsoever, so I think the mysterious noise issue has been resolved.
