AUDIOQUE hD3 MAKEING A WEIRD NOISE HELP!

i free aired it of about 600 watts it hits the lows really clean and smooth but the highs make a arr noise that i cant explain. is this because its not in a box? same thing with my other sub i bought but when i threw it in a ported box it was fine.

Did you sit it on the floor when you free aired it? You don't want to block the pole vent. Put it in the box where it wants to be.

yea i did block the hole underneath the sub/motor. it got kinda warm to after 5mins.

There is a reason that hole is there. Kind of like stuffing a rag in the tailpipe of a car.

That sub is designed for a box, NOT IB installs. LOL

It should be fine. 3.5-4.5 net cubes for the 15" and 1.7-2.5 net for the 12". Tune 36-40hz depending on individual taste. I like 38hz .
