AudioQue 2200d / Cadence iA9?

Haven't read anything on this.. i was just looking around and the guts of the AQ 2200d look pretty close to the guts of the cadence iA9.. same thing?

Very close board design, Parts are different, Both are a great deal.

Cadence has a 5 year warranty.

I think the HF bxi2608 and 2610 would be real similar too.

The Cadence has slight differences in the top left corner... an extra FET and the resistors are in a different direction. That seems like part of the filters though, so minimal change to power output.

The rest are almost identical. There is a slight curve in the AQ's power supply caps. I'm guessing that this is an update to the board design... but that's pure speculation. If we saw the guts of a bxi2010d, I think it might have have the curve too.

Has anyone done a price comparison between them?

Hifonics - ~$350 shipped for a bxi2010d

AQ - ~$390 shipped

Cadence - $500 shipped

AB - $350-400 used is all I can find

If I were in that market, the AQ seems like an excellent deal, since you can crank the volts on it... especially if it is the descendant of the AB.

I'd run the AQ + AB before any of the other amps....

All amps listed are proven performers though.

cadence does rated power @ 12.5 volts, and over 2400@14.4... Honestly the cadence is superior, but the AQ is a good amp... hifonics sucks...
