you can get 8.5-9 cubes in that trunk, while still being removable, with a two piece box...

i made a thread showing the design but for three 12" L7's

go give it a look

and P.S. im pretty sure you can get 33" wide in between the wheel wells

The customization will not be removable and I will gain about 2 cubes taking the spare out and fiberglassin the entire trunk. Can I fit my beloved 15" RE XXX's?

you should have jumped on the parts express deal and got 2 Axis 12's for 200 each, shipped! You cant go wrong with those two subs, especially since they are $400 COMBINED and SHIPPED. I can tell you if your trying for 2 15's of either of the subs your looking at , it would be rediculous and you would most likely be happy with 1. Even a tc3k on 1000 watts made the rear view mirror on my car fall off, TWICE. Lows are amazing and will shake you down to the bone.

they were 300 each iirc, and trust me.. 600 is NOT really a good deal for them

Dan owner of powerhouse customs, roanoke VA, will customize the trunk and rear deck lid.He did this caillac, Squeezed 2 18" RE's in the trunk. I would like to use the method of

dedicating the entire trunk to air space for the sub. I sould like them to fire to the rear of the trunk,

while utilizing the entire trunk to the box. What do you guys think?

I would also have Dan try to mount 4 amps on top of the box,

behind the subs. Here's a link to the back of my trunk.

I can also take pictures, if someone would like to help in determining if 15's will fit.

As far as helpful info- It would depend on which version of xxx you are speaking of, overall, i would say xxx easily, in terms of which is flat out a "better" sub. however, with your box restraints you may be better off with the axis. the more modest power handling certainly isnt a downfall either!

I was going with the 06 model, newer version. **** man you don't like that Cuttlass 442, american muscle at it's best. I don't care too much for the cadillac. There's also a link to my charger, earlier in the thread.

alot of people prefer the 05 model XXX's, and also i cannot speak on either sub by experience but i have ran a audiopulse/tc sub before and absolutly loved it, got extremely loud,low and it had great build quality, i would recommend their gearz

nearly all of their subs have a large power handling, great quality and almost ALL work great in small enclosures, you cant go wrong if you have the koin

i have 2 12" Quad Coil Axis's on a UPS truck driving here at the moment!

If RE posted the true "Optimal" enclosure specs on their site no one would get the XXX's

again like i said check out the AV seriers woofers, seeing as you have more power than they cna really handle 4 12s would do better than 2 15s.. 4 12s would easily put you into thte 150s and sound amazing...

Neverheard the XXX, but Axis ftmfw. Loved that sub when I had it, probably my fav. Took 2500 watts daily with no problems whatsoever

Would I do better just running 2 12's or just one 15? There is about 8 cubes, maybe a lil more, If I dedicate the entire trunk to the box. You guys still say I can't use 2 15" XXX Huh? I will gain about 2 cubes by taking the spare tire and jack out of the trunk, Possibly port the box thru the deck lid, Is this possible, will the sound quality be good. Has anyone ever heard a box that was ported thru the deck lid?

So, I can fit 4 12's, but not 2 15's?
