Sig Worthy?Shouldn't I be able to crank that amp all the way or close to it?? It shouldn't be under any stress and there's no voltage drop. And my box is a bit small if anything so idk
Ok that wasn't worded right. I have the gain set by ear right now but obviously i know it's not volume But the gain has to be just over half before the sub is remotely loud. I'm using a stock headunit with a line out converter so I'm pretty sure I'm not over 2 volt pre outs. I know it's almost impossible to recognize audible distortion from a subwoofer but I can tell when it starts putting out dirty power and I back it off at that pointNo, its not a volume knob. For the same output from the amp for example. My headunit has 2.5v outputs and the gain is 1/2 then if your headunit has 4v outputs then your gain would be about 1/4 of the way for the same output from the amp. This is just a quick example so don't follow to the T.
My bet is that the amp like most cheap amps is full of distortion.Ok that wasn't worded right. check your hpf/lpf on the amp.Ok that wasn't worded right. I'd say your right lol. I figured i would try it out for the money but it seems you can't skimp out on amps and expect much.My bet is that the amp like most cheap amps is full of distortion.
